Soprano Amani Cole-Felder is a third year Met Opera Lindemann Young Artist. This season, Amani makes her Opera Theatre of Saint Louis debut as Lucy in Treemonisha, while covering the title role in Susannah. Amani recently performed Cretan Woman in Idomeneo at the Metropolitan Opera, where she debuted as Strawberry Woman in Porgy and Bess in 2021. Her roles include: Angelica/Fiordiligi in Furiosus, Donna Anna in Don Giovanni, Pamina and First Lady in Die Zauberflöte, the title role in Suor Angelica, Giulietta in I Capuleti e i Montecchi, and Countess in Le Nozze di Figaro. Amani was awarded a career grant from the 2023 Pasadena Vocal Competition and second place in the 2022 Annapolis Opera Competition. She was a semi-finalist in the 2020 Houston Grand Opera McCollum Competition. Amani holds a B.M. degree from Westminster Choir College and a M.M. degree from New England Conservatory of Music.
