Dana Saccomano
(She/her) Dana M. Saccomano, violinist and violist, is an active educator and performer in New England. She received her B.S. in music education and M.M. in violin performance from the University of Connecticut. Dana performs with many orchestras, chamber groups and opera/musical theater companies in the tri-state area.  Some of the groups Dana performs with  include the Easten Connecticut Symphony, the New England Repertory Orchestra, the New Britain Symphony, and the Worcester Symphony Orchestra.

Biography

Dana Saccomano

Dana M. Saccomano, violinist and violist, is an active educator and performer in Connecticut and Massachusetts. She received her B.S. in music education and B.A. in music at the University of Connecticut under the tutelage of Dr. Theodore Arm. After beginning her teaching career in the public schools, she was awarded a graduate assistantship and received her MM in violin performance, under the supervision of Julie Rosenfeld of the Esterhazy String Quartet. Dana enjoys a rich variety of performance opportunities as an orchestral, chamber and solo musician.  She has performed with many orchestras, chamber groups and opera/musical theater companies in the tri-state area.  She currently studies viola with Steve Larson and violin with Dr. Gary Capozziello. Dana performs regularly with the Eastern Connecticut Symphony, the New England Repertory Orchestra, New Britain Symphony and the Worcester Symphony Orchestra. This summer she will be performing Die Walkure and Siegfried with TUNDI Productions at their annual Wagner Festival in Vermont and with the Madison Lyric Stage in Madison, CT on two productions; Pierrot Lunaire and Spring Awakening.
