Elizabeth Drabkin has been a member of the Colorado Symphony since 2021. She holds a Master of Music and Performer Diploma from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where she studied with Mark Kaplan and Jorja Fleezanis. She also studied Baroque violin with Distinguished Professor of Music, Stanley Ritchie. Elizabeth has a Bachelor of Music from the Blair School of Music at Vanderbilt University, where she studied with Connie Heard. She is originally from the Boston area, where she studied with Muir Quartet violinist and Boston University professor Peter Zazofsky. For two seasons in 2019-2021, she served as Assistant Concertmaster of the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra in Evansville, Indiana. During her undergraduate studies, she regularly played with the Nashville Symphony, the Gateway Chamber Orchestra of Tennessee, and Ocean Way Nashville Recording Studios. She has been an orchestra fellow at the Spoleto Festival USA in 2018 and the Aspen Music Festival for three consecutive years from 2014 to 2016.
