Francisco Corredor is a Puerto Rican/Colombian tenor, composer, and director born and raised in New York City. His comedic and lively operatic interpretations have been praised by Opera News, The New York Times, El Diario, The Brooklyn Daily Eagle, and The Oklahoman. A former artist with Tony Bennett’s Exploring the Arts Foundation and Martina Arroyo’s Prelude to Performance, he’s also performed in some of New York’s most prestigious venues including Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and Radio City Music Hall. Abroad, he’s performed Switzerland, Austria, Israel, and France. Francisco is also proud to be a founding member of Bare Opera, an alternative opera company, where he’s sung numerous roles, served as Chorus Master and Choreographer for their production of Ravel’s “L’enfant et les Sortilèges”, and was Master of Ceremonies to their gala at the home of violinist Joshua Bell. Francisco is a graduate of the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts, holds a BM from the Conservatory of Music at SUNY Purchase, and a Master of Arts from the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College. Operatic roles include; Monostatos (The Magic Flute), Gherardo (Gianni Schicchi), La Rainette / Arithmétique (L’enfant et les Sortilèges), The Four Servants (Les Contes d’Hoffmann), Don Basilio / Don Curzio (Le Nozze di Figaro), Remendado (Carmen), Arnalta / Nutrice (Poppea), The Chaplain (Dialogue des Carmélites), the Witch (Hansel and Gretel), King Kaspar (Amahl and the Night Visitors), Lacouf (Les Mamelles de Tirésias).
