Twenty-year-old Scottish Baritone Jack Harris is in his final year at King’s College, Cambridge, studying for a BA in Music. After three years as Bass Choral Scholar at Morningside Parish Church in Edinburgh, Jack was awarded a Choral Scholarship to the world-acclaimed Choir of King’s College, Cambridge, where he studies voice under David Lowe and Alexander Technique under Polly Waterfield. There, Jack has performed the Bass solos of Dvorak ‘Mass in D’, Mozart ‘Mass in D’ and Haydn ‘Missa Sancti Nicolai’, as well as taking a solo role in the Choir’s recent world-premiere performance of Nico Muhly’s ‘The Street’.
His recent performance credits include Bass Soloist [Vespers Solemnes de Confessore] with the Choir of King’s College, Cambridge and the Academy of Ancient Music, Baritone Soloist [Ein Deutches Requiem] in King’s College Chapel, ‘Somnus’ [Semele] with Cambridge University Opera Society, ‘Antonio’ [Le Nozze di Figaro] with Trinity College Music Society, ‘Fergus’ [Fergus of Galloway] at the Abercairny Estate and ‘Toro’ [West Side Story] in the Edinburgh International Festival with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.
