Megan Maloney is a soprano from Bettendorf, Iowa who recently graduated from the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre, and Dance with a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance and a minor in Performing Arts Administration Management and Entrepreneurship. She was recently seen in her first professional production as Pamina in Mozart‘s The Magic Flute presented by local Detroit company Opera MODO, and as Noémie in The University of Michigan’s production of Cendrillon by Jules Massenet. She has been living in the Southern Black Forest in Germany since May, working on the language and learning about the culture.
Megan Maloney also has experience working in the Administrative side of the arts world. She has held multiple leadership and administrative positions at the University of Michigan for the past 5 years; including as Dean’s Liaison working on Concerts and Events for the Ensembles department. She has also worked as an intern for The Hampsong Foundation, where she conducted research and wrote for their Song of America Project, as well as running their social media accounts.
