Meishan Lin, born in Shenzhen, China, is currently pursuing her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance with Prof. Michael Chertock at the University of Cincinnati - Conservatory of Music . She is also serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Secondary Piano Department. Unlike traditional musicians, she never attended a school of music until five years ago, instead studying law in college, and holds a bachelor’s degree in law from China. Her deep love of classical music led her to transfer to begin master piano performance study with Dr. Dmitri Vorobiev at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA), where she also earned Professional Artist Certificate after Master of Music degree. She is active as a soloist as well as chamber music player and has experience playing parts in both orchestra and wind ensemble.
