Sahara Adamitz is a First Nations Mezzo-Soprano from Stony Plain, Alberta. Music has always been a main focus throughout Sahara’s life. She is currently studying under Benjamin Butterfield in a Masters of Music in Voice Performance at the University of Victoria and will graduate in 2023. In 2022, Sahara participated in Opera Nuova, where she was cast as Ottavia in Monteverdi’s L’Incoronazione di Poppea. In Victoria, Sahara is part of Pacific Opera Victoria’s Chorus where she has performed in shows such as Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Bizet’s Carmen, and Braunfels’ The Birds. In 2021, Sahara completed her Bachelors of Music under the direction of Dr. Sandra Stringer at the University of Lethbridge. Sahara brings energy, animation, and eagerness to every performance, along with the hunger for knowledge and a passion for performing.
