Ángela Varo Moreno

Ángela Varo is an Andalusian violinist, composer, arranger, producer, and educator. Her music blends jazz and flamenco violin, drawing inspiration from her region's cultural heritage. Varo earned a double degree in Contemporary Writing and Production and Jazz Performance from Berklee College of Music, where she received a full scholarship. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in the Global Jazz Institute Program, directed by Danilo Perez. Varo has performed at events like the Panama Jazz Festival and the Abu Dhabi Cultural Summit and collaborated with Califato 3/4. She is also working on her master's thesis, "Perpeñí," which focuses on transcribing and performing Roma music. Varo aims to bridge the gap between traditional and modern music and breathe new life into the sounds of her culture.
