Caitlyn Bogart is a sophomore at the University of Michigan School of Music Theater and Dance studying vocal performance. She grew up in Dallas, TX and studied under Melinda Cotten, and sang in the Children's Chorus of Greater Dallas with the DSO. She currently studies with Scott Piper (classical/musical theater) and Dennis Wilson (jazz). She plays many instruments including alto and soprano saxophone, piano, ukulele and guitar. At school, she performs with the Chamber Choir (dir. Eugene Rogers), the Jazz Lab Band (dir. Dennis Wilson), and previously the Touch of Blue Vocal Jazz Ensemble. Some of her opera and theater credits include: Cendrillon (Esprit), Werther (chorus, shadow of Charlotte), Catch Me If You Can (Brenda), and Carousel (Nettie). She has played in pits for Rude Mechanicals (Indecent), and Musket (A Chorus Line) at U-M.
