Description
An ebullient celebration marking fifteen years of shape-shifting concert programming in New York City and beyond under the direction of Vince Peterson. Choral Chameleon Ensemble and Chorus singers from around the country will come back to where it all started and rejoin their voices with current members to sing the greatest hits and, of course, new music as well. Music will include incredible pieces by all CC Composers-In-Residence to date: Jeffrey Parola, Joseph Gregorio, Adam Ward, Rex Isenberg, and Dale Trumbore as well as several of Vince Peterson's beloved choral arrangements including "Bigger Than My Body" of John Mayer, "Fragile" of Sting, and "Both Sides Now" of Joni Mitchell. There is so much for which to be grateful. We can't wait to turn gratitude into music at this one-night-only event. Join us!

The Adelphi Chorale, under the direction of Todd Wachsman, will celebrate the Earth in song with selections by Frank Ticheli, Ernst Toch, Undine Smith Moore and Fanny Hensel, alongside works by Norman Dello Joio and Sam Pottle.
Adelphi Vocal Ensemble will feature its talented members in everything from solo settings to full ensemble numbers. Our program will explore scenes of joy, contentment, and introspection and feature the premiere of Adelphi Alum Kevin Lubin’s William Carlos Williams Songs.

For the eight time, the International Composition Competition Harelbeke will be organized in Harelbeke (Belgium). The aim of this competition is to encourage talented composers to integrate the achievements of contemporary music and current composition techniques into wind orchestra compositions.
Contemporary music, more specifically in the sector of music for wind and percussion instruments, deserves permanent backing. As town council, our aim is to motivate composers and performers and to provide a window onto the world. Building a musical bridge between international communities is essential for the future of mankind. This competition contributes to this goal.
A unique feature of this competition is that the works of the three finalists will be performed live by the wind orchestra Koninklijk Harmonieorkest Vooruit Harelbeke. The jury awards the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize, and the audience chooses their favorite for the audience award.

Biography
Derek Weagle
Musician/Educator/Wearer-of-Many-Hats Derek J. Weagle (they/them) is a Brooklyn-based artist and healer invested in the disruption of social and academic barriers around classical music, as well as the preservation of music-making as an act of joyful humanness. With a practice rooted in syncretism, Derek can be found equally comfortable in roles ranging from conductor to composer, performer to teacher. They hold a B.M. in Music Education from UMass Lowell and an M.M. in Composition with a minor in Choral Conducting from New England Conservatory, as well as a Certificate in Sound Healing from the Sage Academy of Sound in Woodstock, NY. Current engagements include work as an independent Sound Healing Practitioner, Associate Conductor of the Queer Urban Orchestra, Assistant Conductor of Choral Chameleon, Artistic Director of the Adelphi University Vocal Ensemble, Founding Artistic Director of Bloom Sound Collective, Composer & Owner at Risanare Music, Board of Directors for the Refugee Orchestra Project. Their work as a composer has received recognition both nationally and internationally, including the American Prize in Composition, the International Horn Society, and the International Composition Competition Harelbeke.
