Emma Jones, mezzo-soprano, is a first year graduate student at Binghamton University. She has an Associate of Arts from Portland Community College and a Bachelor’s in Vocal Performance from the University of Oregon. Her work with the Eugene Opera includes singing in the chorus in La Traviata (2024) and La Boheme (2023), and performing as one of the Knabe in Die Zauberflöte (2022). She worked with Cascadia Chamber Opera as the title character in the staged premier of Dan Daly’s The Banshee (2022), and as Lucas in the world premier of When Dragons Come to Play (2024). Roles with the University of Oregon include the Sorceress (Dido and Aeneas), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Cinderella (Cinderella), and Charlotte Olafson (A Little Night Music). She won first place in the University’s Opera Scholarship Competition. Her most recent engagements were as Prince Orlofsky (Die Fledermaus) at Binghamton University, and as the Page (Rigoletto) with Tri-Cities Opera. Ms. Jones has studied with Angela Niederloh, Dr. Karen Esquivel, and Professor Thomas Goodheart.
