Emma Schwertfuehrer is a soprano from Harrisonburg, Virginia. In 2024, she graduated with a Bachelor's of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of South Carolina, where she studied with Janet Hopkins and performed roles such as Barbarina (Le Nozze di Figaro), First Spirit (Die Zauberflöte), and Flora (The Turn of the Screw). She is currently pursuing a Master's in Music in Vocal Performance at the University of Louisville, where she studies with Emily Albrink. In the 2024-25 season, she performed as Mademoiselle Silberklang in an English-language production of Mozart's The Impresario and also enjoyed participating in the performance of new American opera as Holly in David Wolfson's Rapture. In 2026, she will return to musical theatre as Cinderella in Into the Woods.
