Gyuri Kim is a Korean coloratura soprano known for her brilliant high notes and agile scales. She holds a B.M. in Vocal Music from Hanyang University and made her operatic debut as the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute. Her achievements include the Grand Prize and New Jersey Legislator’s Award at the KAMA International Competition, and the Grand Prize in the Korean-American International Vocal Competition, which included an award of a future performance opportunity at Lincoln Center. She is currently pursuing her M.M. in Vocal Arts at Bard College, studying with Professor Lorraine Nubar and receiving additional coaching from Stephanie Blythe and Kayo Iwama.
