Props Paint Apprentice

2025 - 2025
- Coordinated props paint treatments for five professional operas and one night of Apprentice Scenes in the span of three months under the supervision of the Props Director and Props Paint Charge. - Managed paint finishes for seven Apprentice Scenes props under the direction of four individual Props Charges. Simultaneously acted as Prop Charge for “Beatrice et Benedict.” - Executed paint and surface treatments in accordance with the Props Charge Artist and Scenic Designers. Created paint samples for designers’ approval based on submitted designer drawings and artwork. - Solely ensured all props paint treatments were maintained during the run of the shows in accordance with the treatments established during the build season by the three-person Props Paint team. - Assisted the Props Run Crew team in pre-show setup and post-show strike for “La Boheme” performances, contributing to seamless production execution.

Props Designer

2024 - 2024
- Successfully designed, fabricated, pulled, repaired, and managed 500+ show props for four large-scale musicals and one straight-play in three months as the only Props Designer, Manager, and Artisan. - Directed the props designs in coordination with the directors’ and scenic designers’ visions. Utilized carpentry, sewing, soldering, and graphic design skills to create original props for each show. - Managed unmoving blood effects, prop weaponry, and special fire effects, and coordinated with the local fire marshall to keep the actors, company, and the stage safe. - Maintained a $2,500 prop budget across all five professional productions, procured props and supplies with the company issued credit card, and managed receipts, rentals, and returns. - Implemented a detailed prop management and tracking protocol. Directed new organization efforts at the end of the show season to improve future production.
