Kate Pitt is a dramaturg and director based in New York. New work development: "American Apollo" with Des Moines Metro Opera, Resident Dramaturg for the Vanguard Initiative at Chicago Opera Theater (4 seasons), Composer Librettist Development Program at American Lyric Theater, "Hamlet’s Big Adventure! (a prequel)" with the Reduced Shakespeare Company, and script assistant on "Bernhardt/Hamlet" (Broadway/Roundabout). Recent directing credits include three new operas for American Opera Projects' "Composers and the Voice" fellowship and Henry V at MIT.
