Mary Fetterman

Pennsylvania native, Mary Fetterman, has been praised for her “lovely lyric soprano voice.” She most recently was a Choral Fellow at the Spoleto USA 2025 Festival. There, she was in the chorus of Massenet’s Thaïs, Kodály’s Missa Brevis with the Limón dance company, and Bach’s B Minor Mass. Last Winter, she performed the soprano solos in the first half of Händel’s Messiah with Peachtree Road UMC in Atlanta, and in November, received an Encouragement award from the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition Utah District.

With Buffalo Opera Unlimited, Fetterman performed the role of Susanna in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro and Bea in an “entirely grossing” production of Jake Heggie’s Three Decembers. Her concert works include the soprano solos in Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass, Ethel Smyth’s Mass in D, and Johannes Brahms’ Ein Deutsches Requiem with the Eastman Symphony Orchestra.

In May 2024, Fetterman graduated from the Eastman School of Music with her Master's Degree in Voice Performance. Her Eastman Opera Theater roles include Der Komponist in Ariadne auf Naxos, Morgana in Händel’s Alcina, and a cover role of Blanche in Dialogues des Carmélites by Poulenc.
