Biography

Maxwell Clements

Atlanta native Maxwell Clements graduated in Spring 2025 from Georgia State University summa cum laude with a Bachelors in Music (Vocal Performance) from the studio of Richard Clement. During his time at university, he participated in their opera program every semester and performed roles such as Dr. Falke (Die Fledermaus), Dancaïro (Carmen), Count Formaggio (La Pizza con Funghi), and more. Additionally, he was co-president and treasurer of the University Opera Club and worked closely with administration at the school to help get the program funded. Since 2023, Clements has been a member of the Atlanta Opera Chorus and has been in productions of "Semele," Verdi's "Macbeth," "Die Zauberflöte," 'La Bohème," and "Rigoletto." In Summer 2024, he attended FIO Italia and worked in collaboration with the Fondazione Pergolesi Spontini on the Galuppi opera "Il filosofo compagna," in which he played the role of Don Tritemio. In Spring 2023, he attended the Harrower Summer Opera and performed the role of the Vicar in Britten's "Albert Herring."
