Morgan Reid is a Nova Scotian-born portfolio artist whose diverse skillset informs her career as a performer, administrator, and academic. Morgan works also as a freelance social media manager/consultant for both arts organizations and individuals, and has held various administrative positions with COSA Canada and the University of Toronto. Additionally, in 2020-2021, Morgan was selected as an RBC Future Launch/LINK Emerging Artist Fellow with the Association for Opera in Canada. Some of her most treasured performance experiences have included singing Tytania in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Happy Prince in Leslie Arden’s The Happy Prince, Elle Woods in Legally Blonde: The Musical, and singing works of Jake Heggie in SongFest’s New Voices in Song recital in Los Angeles’ Zipper Hall. Morgan is a graduate of Mount Allison University (B.Mus.) and the University of Toronto (M.Mus.), where she is currently pursuing her Doctor of Musical Arts with a dissertation focus on interdisciplinary performance and movement for singers.
