Sang Bin Park is a baritone with extensive training and performance experience in opera. He began his formal music education at the Mannes School of Music in New York, where he studied with William Burden and honed his vocal technique. During this time, he performed in a variety of student productions, gaining experience in both lead and supporting roles. After completing his studies at Mannes, he pursued a master’s degree at the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, studying under Elliot Madore.
At CCM, Sang Bin has performed in multiple operas, including roles such as Schaunard in La Bohème, Nardo in La finta giardiniera, and Carl Olsen in Street Scene. He also served as the study cover for the title role in Verdi’s Rigoletto at the Cincinnati Opera Summer Festival in 2025. These experiences allowed him to develop not only his vocal technique but also his stage presence, dramatic interpretation, and professional discipline.
Sang Bin is committed to exploring a wide range of repertoire, from classical to contemporary opera, and seeks to convey emotion and storytelling through his performances. He has been recognized with awards such as the Richard Rauf Award at the CCM Corbett Competition and the Grace Keagy Award in the Lotte Lenya Competition. His artistic vision includes fostering a deeper connection between audiences and performers, emphasizing the transformative power of opera.
In addition to his performance career, Sang Bin is interested in mentoring young singers and promoting cultural initiatives that combine music, theater, and education. He aims to contribute to the arts not only as a performer but also as a teacher, organizer, and advocate for innovative programming. Through his dedication to both craft and community, he aspires to create meaningful experiences that inspire audiences and support the next generation of artists.
