Steven Pruss enjoys a career as a concert violinist and chamber musician. As winner of numerous competitions, he has enjoyed solo performances with the Omaha Symphony, Hastings Symphony, Orchestra Omaha, Cherokee Symphony, and the Omaha Area Youth Orchestra. As a scholarship recipient, he has attended the Brevard Music Center Festival (NC), the Summer String Institute (IN), Rocky Mountain Summer Conservatory (CO), Rocky Ridge Music Center (CO, and the National Music Festival (MD). He currently enjoys serving as concertmaster in the UNO University Orchestra and playing with the Lincoln Symphony. Steven’s teachers have included Erin Aldridge, Caroline Chin, Ahra Cho, Karen Strittmatter Galvin, Yang Liu, Jessica Mathaes, Anne Nagosky, Mary Perkinson, and Manuel Ramos.
He currently studies with Professor Olga Smola at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
