Biography

Thomas Lynch IV

Thomas is a 23-year-old tenor vocalist from the greater Washington DC area. He is known for his intense passion for opera, reliability, and dedication to the work at hand. Thomas developed his passion for Western Art Music at the young age of 11. Having been a member of the Children's Chorus of Washington for 7 years (2013-2020), Thomas was exposed to many professional opportunities around the district, including performing with the NSO, Washington Master Chorale, Choral Arts Society of Washington and MDLO. While perusing his Bachelor's in Music at the Sunderman Conservatory at Gettysburg College, Thomas played the lead in 3 fully staged opera productions and in 1 stage/video hybrid opera during the pandemic.  Thomas is a 2-time Collegiate-level Chapter NATS Winner and a 2023 Classical Singer Competition Semi-Finalist. Thomas graduated from The Sunderman Conservatory with his Bachelor's of Music in Vocal Performance. He now attends Eastman School of Music as a Master's of Music in Performance and Literature degree candidate. At Eastman, he has been featured in 2 opera productions, most recently, playing the lead antagonist in Eastman Opera Theatre’s main stage production of Osvaldo Golijov’s “Ainadamar”.
