Yilin Chen, baritone from Linyi, China, holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance from Michigan State University, a Master of Music from the Manhattan School of Music, and dual bachelor’s degrees in Vocal Performance and Law from Shandong University. His operatic roles include Don Giovanni in Don Giovanni, Dandini in La Cenerentola, Pantoulfle in Cendrillon, and Alessio in La Sonnambula, etc. He also performs works by Chinese composers, fostering cross-cultural dialogue in music. This season marks his debut with Cedar Rapids Opera.
