Zimo Chen was born on May 15th, 1998, in Hefei in the Republic of China. She started studying singing with her first teacher Lan Xia, who is a mezzo opera singer. She earned her Bachelor degree of  Music Education from Shanghai Conservatory of Music and gained the second major of Vocal Performance at the same time. Then she obtained her Master degree of Vocal Performance in June 2024, from the same school under the guidance of Professor Changyong Liao, who is a baritone opera singer and president of SHCM.  From 2021, She is the member of Shanghai  Youth Opera Troupe. She is about to enter Michigan State Unive rsity College of Music in the 25Fall to pursue a doctoral degree in music performance and embark on her stage in the United States.
