After seven years in Artistic Administration at Opernhaus Zürich, Annemarie worked in the artistic administration office and as assistant to the opera director for Oper Frankfurt in the 2021-22 season. Since 2022 she is employed at the Hamburg state opera in artistic administration, joining the casting department in 2023. 

She organised the Sir Georg Solti International Conductors‘ Competition in Frankfurt in 2020 and helps run the annual summer Festival Internacional de Musica de Marvao (FIMM) in Portugal.

Before joining the Opernhaus Zürich, she was assistant artist manager at the Harrison Parrott international classical music agency in Munich, where she worked directly with artists such as Sol Gabetta, Alina Pogostkina and Jörg Widmann.

Annemarie’s administrative career began at the Salzburg Mozarteum Orchestra. She then joined the management team at the Sinfonieorchester Aachen/Theater Aachen.

Annemarie was born in Hamburg. She studied the flute at the University of Music Franz Liszt in Weimar (under Professor Ulf-Dieter Schaaff), at the Royal College of Music, London (under Professor Jaime Martin) and at the Zürich University of the Arts (under Professor Philippe Racine) where she completed her Master of Arts degree with honours.

She has played in various youth and professional orchestras and won a number of prizes in the Jugend Musiziert German youth competition at a national level as well as other competitions for young musicians. Extramurally,  Annemarie completed a further education course in theatre and music management at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. She remains an active flutist.
