Evelyn Jean Pine’s short opera about interruption, nada, written with Norwegian composer, Tze Yeung Ho, premiered at Strange Trace Opera’s Stencils Festival in November 2022. Walking The Starry Path: A California Country Western Musical, written with composer Tom Darter, won Best Staged Reading Award at the SF Olympians Festival. Her musical, Back To Earth, with music by Joshua Brody was a People’s Choice Award Winner and was produced at the PlayGround Festival. Her play, Perfect Endings, was part of the “Vote Performance Festival” at the Milibo Art Theatre in October 2022. Her comedy, 7 Secrets Of Teaching Online was a hit at Theatre 33’s New Play Festival this summer. In August, Global Literary Theory published her article, “Decoupling Lust & Love: A Review of We Wrote in Symbols: Love and Lust by Arab Women Writers." Her play, Oakland 1982: You, Me And Rickey is the first drama published in online baseball literary journal, The Twin Bill. With Katja Rivera, she co-wrote The Invisible Project, which launched the Latinx Mafia's Bay Area Staged Reading series. She is a Lecturer-Faculty Emerita at San Francisco State University and a proud co-owner of the most ground-breaking social networking site on earth, The WELL.
