Biography

Daniel Laverriere

Daniel Laverriere, baritone, is a first year graduate student at Temple University and a recent graduate of the University of Southern Maine with dual degrees in Music Performance and Music Education. Recent roles include Mercutio, Roméo et Juliette, Senator McCarthy/Interrogator/Estonian Frank, Fellow Travelers, Seagle Festival; Schaunard, Bar Crawl Bohème, Opera in the Pines; Belcore (cover), L’elisir d’amore, Opera Maine; Papageno, Die Zauberflöte, University of Southern Maine. He has been a soloist with the Portland Symphony Orchestra, Southern Maine Symphony Orchestra, and USM Choral Union. Daniel was named second place winner of the 2023 Maine NATS Competition, as well as Opera Maine’s Ellen Chickering Young Artist for 2023. He is passionate about performing new and underrepresented works, opera education, and environmental sustainability.
