(She/Her) Caterina Asturiano, from Chile, is a lyric soprano graduated from the Professional Studies Diploma at Mannes School of Music. Biography

Caterina Asturiano

Caterina Asturiano is a Chilean lyric soprano and voice teacher. Ms, Asturiano has been part of several international music festivals and voice programs such as Opera Naples Academy, in Naples. Florida, Miami Summer Music Festival, IVAI International Vocal Arts Institute in Tel-Aviv, Israel, Summer Voice Festival of the MSM, New York, CSNY, (Classical Singing in New York in June), and a masterclass with the soprano Montserrat Caballe in Zaragoza, Spain. Other masterclasses include names such as Ramón Tebar, Margo Garret, Many Perez and Joan Dornemann. Ms. Caterina graduated from the Professional Studies Diploma in Opera at Mannes School of Music, studying with the soprano Amy Burton. She began her voice and opera studies at the Veronica Villarroel’s Academy in Chile. Ms. Asturiano as a performer is a versatile singer. Her repertoire, ranges from opera, art song, zarzuela and musical theater, highlighting composers such as Mozart, Puccini, Bellini, Massenet, and the Mexican composer Daniel Catán. She is passionate about performing, especially classical Latin-American songs. As a voice teacher she is seeking to motivate students to learn and inspire them to express through music. Currently, Ms. Caterina is a voice teacher at Academia Veronica Villarroel.
