Jennifer Feinstein

Mezzo-soprano Jennifer Feinstein has been likened by the Los Angeles Times to "a young Horne, so rich is her mezzo and so full of spark was she on stage.” Opera News recently called her Donna Elvira “a comic delight.” In 2018 she was a nominee for the Österreichischer Musiktheaterpreis award for Best Female Singer in a Lead Role, for her performance as Laura in La Gioconda with Tiroler Landestheater. A resident artist with Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe since 2018-19, Ms. Feinstein’s roles there in the 2019-20 season include Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, Giulietta and Stella in Les contes d’Hoffmann, and Sara in Roberto Devereux. In the summer of 2019, Ms. Feinstein returned to the Bard SummerScape Festival as the Messenger in the U.S. premiere of Korngold’s Das Wunder der Heliane with the American Symphony Orchestra. In the 2018-19 season, she sang Giovanna Seymour in Anna Bolena, Sara in Roberto Devereux, the Owl and the Forester’s Wife in The Cunning Little Vixen, and Dritte Magd in Elektra. Ms. Feinstein made two role debuts in the 2017/18 season: Laura in La Gioconda with the Tiroler Landestheater Innsbruck, and Preziosilla in La forza del Destino with Staatsheater Augsburg and Theater Aachen.
