(She/Her) Soprano Caitlin Crabill, hailed as being “a star ready to explode over U.S. regional opera and soon beyond” is rapidly making a name for herself on the operatic stage. In the 2022-2023 season, Ms. Crabill will sing Donna Elvira in Mozart's Don Giovanni at Sarasota Opera. Other recent roles for Ms. Crabill include the title roles in Puccini's Tosca, Alfredo Catalani’s La Wally, Puccini's Madama Butterfly and Puccini's Turandot, as well as being the soprano soloist in Beethoven's 9th Symphony.

Caitlin Crabill

Soprano Caitlin Crabill, hailed as being “a star ready to explode over U.S. regional opera and soon beyond” is rapidly making a name for herself on the operatic stage. 

In the 2022-2023 season, Ms. Crabill makes a role debut as Donna Elvira in Sarasota Opera’s production of Don Giovanni during their Winter Festival. Highlights from the 2021-2022 season include starring as the title role in Puccini’s Tosca with Sarasota Opera, being a featured soloist in Sarasota Opera’s Voices of Sarasota Opera orchestra concert, performing as the Soprano Soloist in Beethoven’s 9th Symphony with the Dayton Philharmonic, and representing Dayton Opera as a soloist in concert during the Dayton Art in the City Festival.

In 2020, Ms. Crabill starred in the title role of Alfredo Catalani’s La Wally with Sarasota Opera to great acclaim. Opera News said her “big, bright soprano soars easily over the orchestra,” and that her “performance was outstanding.” Also in 2020, she was a featured soloist in Dayton Opera’s virtual streaming event, Postcards from Dayton, and in Sarasota Opera’s Fall Concert Series.

In 2019, Ms. Crabill made her company and role debut as Cio-Cio-San in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly with Central City Opera. Earlier in 2019, Ms. Crabill returned to Sarasota Opera as a Studio Artist, where she covered the role of Abigaille in Verdi’s Nabucco, and performed the title role in Puccini’s Turandot. As an Apprentice Artist with Sarasota Opera in 2018, Ms. Crabill performed the role of Pepa in Eugen d’Albert’s rarely performed Tiefland.  

At Oklahoma City University Bass School of Music, Ms. Crabill performed the title role in Ponchielli’s La Gioconda, Erste Dame in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, and the title role in Puccini’s Suor Angelica. At the Bay View Summer Music Festival, Ms. Crabill performed the role of Mimì in Puccini’s La bohème, where she was acclaimed for her “sweet pianissimos and powerful high notes.”

Ms. Crabill lives in Philadelphia with her tenor husband, and her cat named Gina Cigna.
