J. Alexander Langley is a proud alumnus of Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas, TX, and studied Dance at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA. Alex has performed with 6 o’Clock Dance Theatre, Dallas Black Dance Theatre II, Anita N. Martinez Ballet Folklorico, and Dallas Neoclassical Ballet, and as a production cast dancer with Princess Cruises and Holland America Line. He has also performed in regional productions of “La Cage Aux Folles”, “Disney’s TARZAN: the Musical”, and “Fiddler on the Roof".
Alex gives back to the community by facilitating workshops at local public schools and community centers, and has been invited to teach and choreograph as a guest artist nationwide. His work has been performed by Dallas Black Dance Theatre II, Anita N. Martínez Ballet Folklorico, and 6 O’Clock Dance Theatre. Alex has also choreographed musicals like “Newsies”, "RENT: School Edition", “The Lightning Thief”, and “La Cage Aux Folles".
