Growing up in Tyler, Texas, Aaron and his 4 siblings were homeschooled by their mother. Homeschooling instilled in Aaron an internalized love of learning, and with the encouragement of his parents and family, fell in love with dance and the performing arts. During his formative years, he took part in many local performances with Ballet Tyler, as well as performing in competitions in Dallas such as the Youth American Grand Prix. Aaron continued his training in Tyler until the studio officially closed. From then on, Aaron spent most of his weekends traveling to Dallas to continue his training at the Ballet Academy of Texas under the direction of Lisa Slagle. He also spent two summers at the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre Summer Intensive Programs under the direction of Dennis Marshall. His years were filled in part with rigorous homeschooling, and in part with dancing. From this upbringing, Aaron developed a duel personality as artist and scholar.
