Tenor, Adam Catangui, is an Artist Diploma in Opera Studies student at The Juilliard School. Adam is an alumnus of the Gerdine Young Artist Program at Opera Theatre of St. Louis, the Studio Artist Program at Wolf Trap Opera, and the Atelier Lyrique at the Verbier Festival. He holds a Master's of Music from Rice University and a Bachelor's of Music from The Eastman School of Music.
Tenor, Adam Catangui, hails from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He is an Artist Diploma in Opera Studies student at The Juilliard School, where he studies with Kevin Short. During his Master’s at Rice University, he performed Count Almaviva (The Ghosts of Versailles), the Sailor (Dido and Aeneas), and sang alongside the Houston Chamber Choir and Houston Symphony as a soloist in the premiere of Patrick Hawe’s oratorio, The Son of Man. During his Bachelor’s at the Eastman School of Music, Adam performed roles such as Arcadio (Florencia en el Amazons), Oronte (Alcina), and Miles Zegner (Proving Up).
