Biography

Adriana Gonzalez

Some of Adriana's upcoming projects include Micaëla - Opernhaus Zürich, Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi) & Suor Genovieffa (Suor Angelica) - Tokyo Spring Festival and Contessa (LeNozze di Figaro) - Opéra National de Lorraine. Also as an Audax Records Artist, Adriana recently released her first album along side conductor / pianist Iñaki Encina Oyón. In this debut, she delves into early 20th-century French Mélodie with a focus on the exceptional expressive qualities of husband and wife composers Robert Dussaut and Hélène Covatti. The album has received a wonderful acclaim from critics all over the world including the Schallplattenkritik Preis 2020. Adriana was born in Guatemala in 1991 and becomes the first musician of her family. In 2009, she receives the New Upcoming Artist Award by the Hemeroteca Nacional de Guatemala. After completing her studies at the Universidad del Valle, she is invited to be a member of the Opéra national de Paris opera studio, where she sang the roles of Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Despina (Così fan tutte), Sapho et Iphise (Les Fêtes d’Hébé). Before finishing the studio in Paris she received the Prix Lyrique 2017 du Cercle Carpeaux. In 2016 she wins 1st prize at the Otto Edelmann Competition, as well as the Oper Burg Gars Prize, awarding her the role of Pamina (Die Zauberflöte). In 2017 she is awarded 2nd prize at the Concurso Francisco Viñas at the Grand Teatre del Liceu, where a year later she debuts Corinna (Il Viaggio a Reims).
