Born in Bakersfield, California, Alec Fore is a Chicago-based singer of opera, oratorio, and musical theater. He is currently pursuing his Master's in Voice and Opera Performance at Northwestern University's Bienen School of Music, where he is a graduate assistant and Eckstein Scholarship recipient, studying under Professor Theresa Brancaccio. He graduated with honors from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Vocal Performance in 2021, and lived and worked in Los Angeles thereafter. Alec has performed in professional and collegiate settings for the Grant Park Music Festival, LA Opera Connects, Pacific Opera Project, Northwestern University, University of Southern California, and University of California: Los Angeles, among others. He has recently joined the Music of the Baroque Chorus roster and looks forward to concerts in the 2025-2026 season.
In Northwestern's 24-25 season, Alec performed the title role in Albert Herring, Camille in Die Lustige Witwe , and Nerone in L'incoronazione di Poppea. He performed as First Priest/Armored Man in Pacific Opera Project's Nintendo-themed revival production of Superflute! in 2023. Also in 2023, Alec joined UCLA Opera to cover the leading role of Otis for the world premiere of Quake by Kay Rhie. Whilst in his undergraduate degree, he performed the roles of Pelléas in Pelléas et Mélisande and Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream.
In 2025, Alec performed the evangelist in Robert Schumann's Der Rose Pilgerfahrt and covered the tenor solos in Britten's War Requiem, both for Northwestern's Bienen Contemporary/Early Vocal Ensemble. An experienced Bach soloist in professional and collegiate settings, Alec has performed the tenor solos in BWV's 10, 21, and 147.
Alec champions contemporary classical music, and has world-premiered works by multiple composers including Jasper Randall, Matthew Lyon Hazzard, and Sophie Matthieu.
Outside of music, Alec is an ardent supporter of the Los Angeles Lakers, enjoys reading literature (Cormac McCarthy in particular), running, hiking, black coffee, and meditation. He is a member of the American Guild of Musical Artists.
