Biography

Alexandra Watson

Soprano Alexandra Watson is an accomplished singer and passionate storyteller. As an emerging professional, some of her upcoming work includes the role of Mabel in Pirates of Penzance with The Atlanta Opera  Studio Tour, as well as Lucy in Menotti’s The Telephone with Capitol City Opera. Her most recent work includes the combined roles of Pamina and Second Lady in The Atlanta Opera’s Studio Tour production of The Magic Flute. Alexandra’s diverse performance credits also include Emily (Our Town), Susannah (Le nozze di Figaro), Serpina (La serva padrona), Liesl (The Sound of Music), and Mrs. Gleaton (Susannah). 

Recent recognitions include an Encouragement Award from the Minnesota District of The Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition. Alexandra is also a graduate of Georgia State University with a Master’s in Vocal Performance, where she was awarded a full-tuition graduate assistantship. Prior to that, she completed her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance at Reinhardt University.

Currently based in Atlanta, Alexandra continues to hone her craft under the guidance of Kristin Jensen, in addition to running her own voice studio.
