Soprano Ally Arenson is a 2025 graduate of the Eastman School of Music, where she earned her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance along with minors in German and Journalism, studying under Robert Swensen.
While at Eastman, Ally brought a range of characters to life with Eastman Opera Theatre, including Marianne in the collegiate premiere of Silent Light by Paola Prestini, Belinda in Dido and Aeneas, La Voce de la Fuente in Ainadamar, and the Zerbinetta cover in Ariadne auf Naxos (prologue). She also appeared as the soprano soloist in Ralph Vaughan Williams’s Dona Nobis Pacem with the Eastman Philharmonia and Eastman-Rochester Chorus. She also appeared in several performances of Hansel's "Messiah", singing excerpts from arias and recitatives. Scene work with Eastman included portrayals of Guilietta (I Capuleti e i Montecchi), Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), and Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte).
In 2024, Ally attended the Taos Opera Institute, performing scenes as Adele (Die Fledermaus) and Cunégonde (Candide). Most recently, she joined Lyric Opera Studio Weimar, singing the role of Marcellina in Le nozze di Figaro.
Currently, Ally is studying with Rosemary Musoleno and working alongside manager George Martynuk to further continue her training as a developing soprano.
