Biography

Alyssa Click

ALYSSA CLICK is a New York City-based performer who thrives on infusing joy into every project. Her upcoming cabaret, Get Wrecked, Too, is a bold, joyfully chaotic cabaret at The Green Room 42 on August 20 at 7pm. A champion of new music, Alyssa has recently brought drama and high notes to life first as Imelda, the ghostly opera diva, and then the Faceless Woman/Mrs. Wheeler in the workshop development and cast recording of House of Eerie Figures by Danny Decker. Other favorite roles include Johanna (Sweeney Todd), Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Roxie Hart (Chicago), and Anna Reich (Die lustigen Weiber von Windsor).

Concert stages have also seen Alyssa shine—whether crafting her own programs, performing virtually in Tinder Tales: A Virtual Cabaret, or appearing as a featured artist in the Divas and Diamonds series with Seaglass Theater Company. Her voice has even graced video game soundtracks, including Code Vein and God Eater III, in collaboration with Bandai Namco and composer Go Shiina. Hailed for her “exquisite coloratura” (South Florida Classical Review), she’s performed with opera companies, regional theaters, and ensembles from coast to coast.

When Alyssa isn’t on stage, she’s in the classroom (or on Zoom) sharing her love of music. She opened her private voice studio in 2015 and now teaches students in NYC and across the U.S. In Winter 2023, Alyssa joined the Broadway Dance Center faculty, teaching voice, yoga, and musical theater dance to a multitude of skill levels. In Spring 2024, she joined Wagner College as an Adjunct Professor of Voice, where she enjoys guiding students through styles ranging from opera to musical theater. During the pandemic, Alyssa stepped into the virtual teaching world with BrightSpot Theater, coaching middle school-aged students in musical theater audition pieces.

Her passion for movement shines just as brightly in her work as a choreographer, music director, and dance teacher. From choreographing the Turkish Embassy scene in The Ghosts of Versailles to directing children’s musicals, Alyssa brings energy and precision to every step. She has taught everything from hip-hop to pre-K ballet to musical theater dance to the youngest movers at The Village Dance Studio. Now, she teaches Beginner and Advanced Beginner musical theater dance at Broadway Dance Center.

Alyssa’s academic credentials are as impressive as her stage career. She earned a Master of Music in Opera Performance from The Boston Conservatory and a Post-Graduate Fellowship in Arts Administration from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where she was the inaugural Fellow in the Conservatory side of the program. She also holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Northern Arizona University and a Performing Arts Industry Essentials Certificate from NYU Tisch x Backstage. Currently, she studies with Susan Eichorn Young and joins the classes at Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway, ensuring her own artistry remains as vibrant as the students and audiences she inspires.
