Biography

Alyssa Vieau

Alyssa Vieau is an American mezzo-soprano pursuing a career in classical voice performance. Her recent performance highlights at Carnegie Mellon University include Tolomeo in their production of Sartorio's Giulio Cesare in Egitto (2021) which was the first full cast recording of the opera. She has also been seen in The Pastiche Project: A Day In The Life At The Cantata Cafe (2020) as well as Geoffredo in Handel’s Rinaldo (2019). She also performed as Robin in Compōs-It Opera’s world premiere of An Empirical Setting of Memory by Clayton Brown. Due to the effects of COVID-19, she was unable to perform the role of Mrs. Grosse in Britten’s Turn of The Screw (2020). She recently graduated with a BFA in Vocal Performance and is currently pursuing an Advanced Music Studies Certificate set to graduate in 2022.
