Biography

Amanda Larisa

Amanda Moran (b. 2002) is a Vocal Performance major who was born in Nyack, NY and raised in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. She first got introduced to classical music in the summer of 2019 at the Aspen Music Festival and School. This was her real introduction to the world of Opera. Once she got to Lee, she joined the Lee Singers and had the role of Historian as well as being a member of Second Edition, which is a worship band that’s part of the Lee Singers. She traveled all over the South with these groups. During her time in the Lee Singers, she also joined Chorale. In her first semester in Chorale (Fall 22’) she became an officer, and she traveled to Austria and Italy as part of an Advent Tour. Her most recent engagement is being in the Opera Theatre’s Production of The Magic Flute by Mozart in which she played the role of Papagena. She will be studying opera with IPAI in the summer of 2024 in Kiefersfelden, Germany.
