Japanese soprano Amane Machida is currently pursuing a Master of Music at Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts. In 2024 she made her debut at Stadttheater Bad Hall, enchanting audiences as Princess Mi in Das Land des Lächelns (Lehar).
Amane's musical journey has been international. She completed her undergraduate studies at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in the United States. Her love for music and dance then led her to Vienna, where she studied operetta at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna, appearing as Pepi Pleininger in Wiener Blut (Strauss).
In Vienna State Opera she performed as part of the Solistenquartet in Die Entführung aus dem Serail (Mozart). She portrayed Florinda in Fierrabras (Schubert) at Das MuTh. Furthermore she performed in Europeras 3&4 (Cage) at Stadttheater Gießen.
Earlier in her career, Amane sang the role of Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro (Mozart) and Second Lady/Spirit in Die Zauberflöte (Mozart) at Lyric Opera Studio Weimar.
