Biography

Andrew George

Malaysian tenor Andrew George is a graduate student at the SUNY Fredonia School of Music, pursuing a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance.

During the 2024-25 season, Mr. George appeared with the Western New York Chamber Orchestra in the world premiere performance of Glen Cortese’s 221B: A Sherlock Holmes Opera, singing the title role of Sherlock Holmes. He also performed with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra as Gastone in Verdi’s La Traviata, and with the Hillman Opera as Ferrando in Mozart’s Così fan tutte. In Malaysia, he has appeared as a principal soloist with the Kuala Lumpur City Opera and the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra.

Later this fall, Mr. George will be appearing as Beppe in Buffalo Opera Unlimited's production of Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci, and as Nika Magadoff (The Magician) in the Hillman Opera's production of Menotti’s The Consul.

Mr. George holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Classical Voice from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and pursued additional studies at the Musical Horizons Conservatory in Athens, Greece.
