Violinist Ann Cho has performed internationally and across the United States in venues such as Carnegie Hall, David Geffen, Alice Tully, Benaroya Hall, Meyerson Center, Sarasota Opera House and Seiji Ozawa Hall. Festival appearances include IMS Prussia Cove Mastercourses (Cornwall, England), Tanglewood Music Center (Lenox, Massachusettes), Kneisel Hall (Blue Hill, Maine), Music Academy of the West (Santa Barbara, California), Aspen Music Festival and School (Aspen, Colorado) and the Sarasota Music Festival (Sarasota, Florida), where she performed J.S. Bach’s Triple Concerto with Ani Kavafian and Felix Mendelssohn’s Octet with the Pacifica Quartet. Ms. Cho’s mentors include Timothy Eddy, Joseph Lin, Joseph Kalichstein, Paul Kantor, Alex Kerr, Ronald Copes and Gregory Zuber. Ms. Cho regularly plays with the San Diego Symphony, New Haven Symphony, as well as the Princeton Symphony and New York Classical Players. In 2021 she was awarded a position with the U.S. Air Force Band. Ms. Cho has performed under the batons of Gustavo Dudamel, Alan Gilbert, Stéphane Denéve, Marin Alsop, Andris Nelsons, Herbert Blomstedt and John Adams, among others. Additionally, Ms. Cho has been invited as soloist with the Austin Symphony and Austin Civic Orchestra, and has been heard on WQXR and KMFA Classical radio stations. A passionate teacher, Ms. Cho was awarded the Morse Teaching Artist Fellowship and was a Music Advancement Program’s teaching fellow at Juilliard, as well as a teaching artist with the Music In Schools initiative and Secondary Lessons at Yale. Ms. Cho holds a bachelor’s degree from The Juilliard School, where she studied with Catherine Cho and Daniel Phillips as a recipient of the Dorothy DeLay Scholarship. She holds a master’s degree from Yale University, under the tutelage of Ani Kavafian, where she was awarded the Alumni Association Prize upon graduation.
