Biography

Anna Donnelly

 

Anna Donnelly is a soprano from Cincinnati, Ohio. She recently appeared as Gretel in Hänsel und Gretel at IU Opera Theater. Also at Indiana University, Anna has performed the roles of Drusilla in L’Incoronazione di Poppea and Soeur Constance in Dialogues des Carmélites in addition to singing in several opera choruses. In the summer of 2022, Anna appeared as Pamina in Die Zauberflöte with Miami Music Festival. Other credits include Zweiter Knabe in Die Zauberflöte with Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, and the titular role in Patience with the University Gilbert & Sullivan Society. Anna performs frequently with Bloomington Chamber Opera: she sang Gianetta in L'Elisir d’Amore in April 2022 and appeared in their projects Liebestrennung: Love’s Separation and Die Zauberflöte. Anna recently completed a Master of Music and a Graduate Certificate in Vocology at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music under the tutelage of Heidi Grant Murphy.
