Anna-Lisa Hackett is a young coloratura soprano currently based in Phoenix. She received her degree from the Eastman School of Music and has sung  with the Eastman Opera Theater, Minnesota Opera, Oberlin in Italy Program, Phoenix Opera, The Ohio Light Opera and most recently with Opera NEO as Fiordiligi in Cosi fan tutte  and Donna Anna in Don Giovanni. Ms Hackett made her professional operatic debut as Frasquita in Phoenix Opera's production of Carmen and returned to sing the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute. She has also performed the roles of La Fata Azzurra in La Bella Dormente nel Bosco, Hanna Glawari in The Merry Widow, Madame Pompadour in Madame Pompadour and as Sister Constance in Dialogues des Carmelites of which she was acclaimed by reviewers to have "revealed a luminous voice, and sang with ease and spontaneity." A recent performance elicited Dr Leon Thurman of the Voice Care Network to write “Her voice is fabulous, bottom-to-top! Her singing, acting, and movement were very expressive and flawless.”  She has won many competitions including the Schubert Club, Singers Cultural Exchange National competition and was a finalist in the Loren L. Zachary and most recently took First Place and Audience Favorite in the Southwest Vocal Competition.  Ms Hackett has been a featured soloist with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Nicholas McGegan, The Phoenix Symphony,  and the Culver City Symphony. Ms Hackett is equally comfortable with musical theater and has played leading roles in many productions including Marian in The Music Man, Laurie in Oklahoma, Margy in State Fair, Rapunzel in Into the Woods, and Mrs. Gardiner in the premier production of Pride and Prejudice.
