Biography

Anne Elise Teeling

Anne Elise Teeling is a charming, captivating, and creative soprano based in Brooklyn, New York. Frequenting the stage, she has appeared in featured roles with The Gilbert and Sullivan Light Opera Company of Long Island, Opera in the Ozarks, the FSU Opera Department, and Chicago Summer Opera. Most recently, she appeared as Josephine in the G&S Light Opera Company of Long Island’s production of H.M.S. Pinafore. Previous credits include Eurydice in Opera in the Ozark’s production of Orphée aux enfers, Stella in Previn’s A Streetcar Named Desire, and Barbarina in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro with the FSU Opera Department. An artist invested in new music, Anne Elise premiered the role of Madison in the new opera Leland and Silas with Chinkapin Craftstead in May of 2025.

Well-suited to the concert stage, she recently appeared as the soprano soloist for the Tallahassee Community Chorus’ performances of Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass, Carmina Burana, and Mozart’s Coronation Mass. Anne Elise is an avid competitor, and, most recently, she won the Grand Prize in the Delta Symphony Orchestra’s 2025 Young Artist Competition, and returned to Arkansas to sing, “À vos jeux,” from Thomas’ Hamlet and “Presentation of the Rose” from Strauss’ Der Rosenkavalier, with the orchestra. Anne Elise is originally from Des Moines, Iowa.
