Annelise Burghardt is a soprano from Syracuse, New York. Previous operatic engagements include Helena in Benjamin Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Daniča in Svadba by Ana Sokolovic, and Noémie in Opera In Concert: Cendrillion Act I at Manhattan School of Music. As a 2023 Festival Artist, she sang in the chorus of Lohengrin, Aida, and Our Town with Utah Festival Opera and Musical Theatre. Additionally, she sang Rose Murrant in Kurt Weill’s Street Scene at Andrews University. She has performed at home and abroad in concert with Classic Lyric Arts in the Berkshires and in Italy, as well as local concerts in NYC with The Opera Next Door and in recital with Free Concert Series at the College Church in South Lancaster, Massachusetts. In the competition circuit, Annelise received an Encouragement Award from the Metropolitan Opera’s Laffont Competition in 2025. She holds a dual degree in Psychology and Music from Andrews University, and degrees in Music from the Manhattan School of Music.
