Arianna Brusubardis, violinist, and Wisconsin native, began her violin studies at age three with Suzuki teachers: Mary Ellen Meyer, Lindsay Erickson, and Dorothy Brauer. Arianna studied with Dr. Bernard Zinck 2010-2018. Currently, she is in her third year at The Juilliard School under the tutelage of Laurie Smukler. A Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra (MYSO) Alumna, Arianna fulfilled leadership roles each year, and received numerous awards in MYSO’s concerto competitions. Other awards: Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra’s Young Artists Competition Winner (2016), Madison Symphony Orchestra’s Bolz Young Artist Competition Finalist (2018), Civic Music Association’s High School Showcase Award (2016, 2018), and Wisconsin Philharmonic Shining Stars Scholarship (2012, 2014, 2016). In summers, she has participated in Latvian Song Festivals (2009, 2012, 2019), traveled with MYSO to Vienna and Budapest (2015), Argentina and Uruguay (2017), and Asia (2018) with the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America (NYO-USA). As Co-Concertmaster of NYO-USA, she performed with Jean-Yves Thibaudet, and Michael Tilson Thomas. Arianna is a Tanglewood Music Center Fellow, and participated in their virtual summer program in 2020. Arianna also enjoys performing with her family of eight, including the Brusubardis String Quartet.
