Biography
Asher Denburg is a versatile and in-demand musician whose work has been heralded worldwide. Selected credits as music director: National tours of Spamilton, Cirque Musica Holiday Spectacular; Breath and Imagination (Lyric Stage Company of Boston/Front Porch Arts Collective, IRNE nomination for Best Music Director); Never Sleep Alone (Virgin Voyages, inaugural company); Legally Blonde, Addams Family (Wagon Wheel); Cinderella, All Shook Up, 9 to 5 (Arrow Rock Lyceum); Beehive (Theatre By The Sea). A mainstay in New York’s cabaret scene, Asher has s led shows at 54 Below, Joe’s Pub, Chelsea Table + Stage, Don’t Tell Mama, and more; he also has ongoing monthly residencies at both Green Room 42 (At This Performance) and Chelsea Music Hall (Sweet! w/Seth Herzog). Selected orchestrations & arrangements: Bachelors of Broadway; Never Sleep Alone; Shanghai Sonatas in concert (Wallis Annenberg, world premiere); Fable (NYMF, world premiere); ghostwriter for the Boston Pops, Chicago Symphony. Other: comedy shows with Jeff Ross, Cole Escola; ballet piano with the Joffrey Ballet School, Steps On Broadway; inaugural season ballpark organist, Rocket City Trash Pandas (AA, Los Angeles Angels).
