Oboist Ashley Miley is an active oboist in the Cincinnati area. Ashley earned a Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Music Education with a minor in Art Entrepreneurship under Robert Sorton at Ohio State University. She pursued graduate studies at Rutgers University, where she studied with Andrew Adelson. She is currently taking a leave of absence from school due to COVID and pursuing studies with Dwight Parry, principal oboist of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. Ashley has recently performed with the Rutgers Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, and Symphonic Band, and has also performed with the Ohio State University Symphony Orchestra and the Capital University Symphony and Opera Orchestra. Ashley was accepted as an oboe fellow at Eastern Music Festival during the summer of 2016, and has also served as an oboe and English horn substitute for the New Albany Symphony Orchestra.
